Wishes to this Deity
I'm an expat living 6,000 miles from home. Some days the loneliness is overwhelming. Mazu, you protect those far from shore — watch over all of us who are far from home. Distance doesn't mean we're forgotten.
Our cargo ship was scheduled through a high-risk piracy zone. 24 crew members. I prayed to Mazu for 3 straight days. We encountered zero trouble — the zone was dead quiet. All crew safe, full cargo delivered.
Taking my kids on their first cruise. I'm terrified — everything that could go wrong keeps running through my head. Mazu, bless our journey. Let them see the ocean's beauty, not its danger. A father's prayer for a peaceful family trip.
Business trip required a 14-hour ferry crossing in rough-season waters. I get terrible seasickness. Prayed to Mazu at departure. The sea turned glass-flat. The captain said it was the smoothest crossing he'd seen in 30 years.
Every time my husband's fishing boat leaves port, I can't breathe until he's back. I prayed to Mazu for his protection. He's been through three major storms since. Came home safe every time. He says the waves literally part around the boat.
